Herman - The Hermanator - Hines 


Herman Hines is a powerful vocalist that performs throughout the Chicagoland music scene. He is a humble, kind and approachable gentleman who always has time to chat, but put a microphone in his hand and he transforms into a charismatic showman with a penetrating and soulful voice that commands your attention.


Herman was raised on a sharecropping farm in Brownsville TN, is a proud veteran of the United States Army, and worked for the Illinois Department of Corrections for 30 years.

Herman was discovered singing karaoke in a Joliet bar and became the lead vocalist for the Chicago Blues Angels in 2001. He has performed with many notable artists such as Billy Branch and the SOB’s, Bob Stroger, Dave Specter, Toronzo Cannon and Mike Wheeler. For many years he sat in with musicians from around the world on the Legendary Rhythm and Blues Cruise.


Herman has performed in many Chicago venue’s including Buddy Guy’s Legends, Rosa’s Lounge, Fitzgerald’s, House of Blues, Hey Nonny, The Venue, Johnny's Blitz and The Matrix Lounge. 


Herman has been influenced by such legends as Muddy Waters, Son Seals, BB King, Bobby Blue Bland, Albert King, and Robert Cray.
